Pediatric Chiropractic Care

The healthiest
kids start with
a healthy nervous
system.

Growing up is a full-time job for a child's nervous system, from the first breath through every milestone, fall, and growth spurt. We're here to support that system at every stage.

Practicing Since 2019 Newborns Welcome Extremely Gentle Techniques All Ages Through Teens Same Visit as Mom

The nervous system
is built in
childhood.

A child's nervous system develops fastest in the first few years, and it keeps adapting through every stage after. It's handling growth spurts, big emotions, new foods, new schools, and new everything. That's a lot, and it's worth paying attention to how your kid is carrying it.

Pediatric chiropractic isn't about treating problems. It's about giving the nervous system the best possible environment to grow in. That's a completely different conversation than waiting until something hurts.

We start as early as day one, and we stick with families for the long haul.

"The best time to start caring for a child's nervous system was at birth. The second best time is now."

— Dr. Sam Lahr, D.C.

What parents
tell us.

Kids can't always tell you how they're feeling, but parents notice. Here's what we hear most.

😴
Better Sleep

Sleep is usually the first thing parents tell us changed. Falling asleep easier, staying asleep longer, waking up better rested. I can't promise it, but it's one of the most common things we hear.

😊
Mood & Behavior

Big reactions and short fuses are normal for kids. But a lot of parents tell us their child seemed calmer and more like themselves after starting care. Not every kid, not every time. Often enough that we hear it a lot.

🧠
Focus & Learning

Parents of school-age kids often tell us their child seemed more settled at the desk and easier to get through homework. I don't treat ADHD or any learning difference, and if that's your concern I'll help you find the right people. Care can still be part of the picture.

🛡️
Sick Seasons & Ear Infections

Ear infections and rough sick seasons are one of the most common reasons moms bring their kids in. Plenty of parents tell us their kids bounced back faster and got sick less often after starting care. I can't promise that, and I'll always tell you straight if your child needs their pediatrician. But we've seen it enough that it's worth a conversation.

🍽️
Digestion & Colic

A baby who won't settle, struggles to feed, or has a rough time with reflux and gas. I know how heavy that feels at 3 a.m. Many families try gentle care, and a lot of them tell us they saw their baby settle. The research is still catching up, and I'll be honest about that. If something looks like it needs a pediatrician, I'll tell you.

🌱
Overall Vitality

Sometimes it's hard to name exactly what changed — kids just seem more themselves. More energy, more ease, more joy in the ordinary. Parents tell us it's hard to put into words, but they notice.

Gentle enough
for day one.
Adapted at every age.

The first question almost every parent asks is whether this is safe. I'd rather explain how we keep it safe than just ask you to trust me on it.

Pediatric adjustments look nothing like adult adjustments. The force, the technique, the contact — all completely adapted to the child's size, age, and what their nervous system is showing us. For a newborn, we're talking fingertip pressure. The kind you'd use to check if a tomato is ripe.

No cracking or popping

Pediatric adjustments use gentle, low-force techniques — instrument-assisted or light manual contact. There's nothing dramatic or forceful involved. Most infants sleep through the entire thing.

Adapted to every size

A six-week-old and a sixteen-year-old require completely different approaches. Every technique, every contact point, and every amount of force is chosen specifically for that child's body on that visit.

Gentle by design

Serious adverse events are rare in the published literature, but they have been reported, and research is limited, especially in infants. Mild, short-lived soreness or fussiness can happen. That's why we adapt every technique to the child's size and refer to a pediatrician whenever something falls outside what chiropractic care addresses.

Growing up is
hard on the
nervous system.

Childhood looks easy from the outside. From inside a nervous system that's growing faster than it can keep up with — not so much. Every stage brings stressors the body has literally never faced before.

The nervous system is either adapting well to those demands, or it's compensating and building patterns that stick around. Gentle care can help it adapt — before those patterns become the new normal.

Children's spines and nervous systems are assessed using the same INSiGHT scanning technology we use for adults — non-invasive, no radiation, and adapted for every age and size.

🤱
Birth Stress

Birth is hard work for babies too. Even a smooth delivery puts real force on a baby's neck and body, and forceps or vacuum deliveries put even more. Plenty of babies bounce right back. Some carry tension that shows up as trouble latching, a head-turn preference, or a baby who's just hard to settle. That's often what brings moms in, and it's exactly what we check for.

🏃
Developmental Milestones

Rolling, sitting, crawling, pulling to stand, walking, running. Every milestone is brand new for a little body. Each one involves new patterns of muscle activation, balance, and coordination. The nervous system is working hard through all of it, and it benefits from support.

🤸
Falls — A Lot of Them

The average toddler falls dozens of times per day while learning to walk. School-age kids fall, tumble, collide, and crash regularly. Most of these are minor, but they add up on a growing spine, and most of it never gets looked at.

📱
Screens & Posture

Screen time has changed the posture of an entire generation. I'm seeing these postures in kids younger every year. And it's not just how they look. It's how they move and how they feel.

🎒
Sports, Backpacks & Growth

As kids get older, the demands compound. Heavy backpacks, the same sport movement over and over, growth spurts that outrun the muscles. All of it adds up, and it's worth having someone look.
